Stylish new apartment block to be built near popular beach and city centre

An apartment block with ‘a whole new level of coastal luxury’ has attracted plenty of interest from prospective buyers ahead of its construction.

Ascend Apartments, by Citimax Property Group, will be built in prime position at 37-39 Moreton Parade at Kings Beach.

It will be just two streets back and 260m from the popular beach and just 280m from the Caloundra city centre.

The block will consist of 24 units, including 23 three-bedroom units, priced between $849,000 to $1.6m, and one one-bedroom unit. They will boast spacious bedrooms, high-quality finishes and amenities, including a pool, gym and barbecue area.

Construction is planned to start early next year, with with completion in mid-2024.

It’s Citimax’s second foray into the Sunshine Coast, following the sell-out of the Ocean Verge apartments in Caloundra. It’s due to be completed next year.

Citimax director Matthew Bond grew up in Caloundra and he said he was pleased to be able to return to his hometown and add to the quality of developments in the region.

“We firmly believe the growth fundamentals of the Sunshine Coast property market are very strong,” he said via a media release.

“I tell plenty of people that Kings Beach is undervalued compared to the rest of the Coast.

“Our confidence to proceed with Ascend is based not only on the success we achieved at Ocean Verge but it is also driven by post pandemic migration to regional Australian centres like Caloundra, along with the very limited supply of quality new apartments in the Caloundra and Kings Beach area.”

Damian Brown and Rick Williams from Property and Estates Project Marketing were responsible for the sales at Ocean Verge and have been appointed as the agents for Ascend.

“Caloundra, and Kings Beach in particular, ticks so many boxes in terms of lifestyle, accessibility and affordability with incredible surf beaches just five minutes walk away,” Damian said.

“Demand has been strong, particularly with limited new apartments on offer in and around Kings Beach.

“Nine of the 24 units have already been sold, primarily to owner-occupiers looking to downsize without compromising on quality, as well as local and interstate holiday home buyers.

“The good news is there is still a great range of quality apartments remaining for sale and … we expect demand to remain strong as buyers snap up their dream home in one of the region’s premier addresses.”
